Title: 1954 1000 Bill
Post by: koblt on January 02, 2010, 02:06:52 pm
Hello,

I have a 1954 thousand dollar bill, serial #AK1634028, with Lawson signature.
It's in very good condition with no creases.
What would the value be?
Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the forum,
The Charlton Canadian Government Paper Money Catalog 22nd edition list this note as the most common signature $1,000 note.  It's valued at upto $1,650.00 in perfect gem uncirculated condition.   We would have to see a scan to determine your notes condition, as even just some handling and light folds can make a huge difference in value.  An almost uncirculated note would be valued at $1,250.00.  These are catalog values with selling prices usually less than these on common notes.  I hope this helps.  Murray
