Title: OT: OH CANADA!!

CPMF members can be proud of our Canadian Olympic Hockey team.After being beaten by the USA,they smoked Germany last night,and tonight after the 2nd period,they are leading 7-3! Puts them back in with the USA.We're not out now!
I'm in Mexico,and you will be happy and proud to know the restaurant/bars are packed to the hilt with screaming,cheering Canadians!

Sorry for the off-topic post,but once in a while WE deserve it!

Congratulations to Kallie Humphries and the rest of the Canada 1 and Canada 2 bobsleigh teams on their gold and silver medals tonight!

Now we can extend this thread to discuss the proposed changes to the lyrics of Oh Canada or Eau Canada to our drought stricken American friends.

Ex Prime Minister Kim Campbell was on the radio this morning suggesting that "Our home and native land" be changed to "Our home ON native lands"!!!   She didn't like the Dost thing and suggested "in all of us command" instead of "in all thy sons command".  She also thinks the God part should come out.

I personally think we should add something about things uniquely Canadian like Beaver Tails, Insulin, Pablum, Wayne Gretzky, loonies, twoonies and new polymer notes.   Lets hear your ideas.!!!

I say leave it as is and spend our taxpayer money on something that actually makes a difference. Leave the anthem alone!
