Title: Brick data needed: AYV $20 inserts
Post by: mmars on April 25, 2010, 07:19:02 pm
I need some information from people who found AYV insert notes in $20 bricks.  Specifically, I need the position numbers of the inserts and the bricks where inserts were found.  I know this is old information, but if you have it, could you post it here or PM it to me please.  This is for a research project that I am working on.

If you have any information on notes in the range AYV 8880000-8925000, confirmed inserts or otherwise, please let me know.

AYV 8881184 was already in the database and proved to be extremely useful.  It's too bad the original brick data is not known.  It might have been quite revealing in proving what I suspect about AYV inserts!  ;)

Hi mmars

I used to own the AYV8881168 note.    What are you suspecting about the AYV inserts?

I'm not suspecting anything detrimental, but until I get some actual brick data, it would be mere speculation for me to say anything at this time.

Very few of these inserts were ever found and these notes at the time were very difficult to find. Unfortunately bricking info would also be limited yet i do not believe you will get the bricking info you are looking for threw the forum but this is a good starting point. Although i know where my note came from i did not personally find it and as a result i can't provide bricking info.  :'(

As for the notes i do personally find, i have a ton of bricking info for those if ever needed in the future.  ;)

I knew it was a longshot but I thought I would ask anyway.  There could also be people who found AYV inserts but never had them confirmed because there was not enough evidence from other collectors to cobble together a range.  If anyone has an unconfirmed AYV insert, I would like to hear from them.

Now with the latest CMPS article we can see what you were talking about. Very interesting and great job.

mmars has been doing a lot of hard work not just in the past year since the SNDB has been active, but for several years beyond that. He continues his work with a new article in nearly every issue of the CPMS Newsletter including the recently-released June issue. Great work, Mark!

Uh oh, now you've done it, Brent.  My head is as big as this room and I can't go out to get more notes to enter into the database.  Perhaps now is a good time to start writing my next article.  :D
