Title: Five uncirculated CJ 20s with successive serial number
Post by: montoni on June 29, 2010, 12:06:30 pm
Got them out of the ABM in Ottawa last week. They're in uncirculated condition, last numeral of the serial numbers are 1 to 5, Jenkins/Carney.

Are they worth anything? Anyone in Ottawa know where I could take them to get valuated?

Impossible to guess. Prefix and complete serial number would be a good start.

No need to take them somewhere for evaluation yet.

Please provide us with the full serial numbers (Letter & Numbers) and someone here will be able to help you out. The Bank of Canada appears to be releasing new FI_ prefixes in to circulation at this time.

If there are any error’s on the note then you might have something.

Chances are the notes are regular issue and not worth more then face value.

Five notes, serial number on first is ARP 4120401 with the remaining four with the last digits 2,3,4,5.

They're new, the tactile feature for the blind is very apparent.

Oh... what you meant by "CJ" was Carney/Jenkins.   Usually they go by J/C.

Your notes are just spenders.  $20 each.  Just spend them.   You'll get more enjoyment that way then keeping them.

BTW, by CJ I meant Canadian Journey, sorry for confusion. Off to spend them now. J/C means Jenkins/Carney I guess. Will keep that in mind.

Happy Dominion Day everyone  :)
