Title: 1917 - $1 Dominion of Canada Note
Post by: coinsplus on August 07, 2010, 01:13:42 pm
Hi fellow collectors:

What do you consider this note's condition to be?  Just a filler note?

This note looks heavily circulated, serial number barely visible. At least all the note is still in one piece. To me this note would only grade a G. so def. just a filler.  :-\

G or Filler. However.... has the right corner of the note been repaired? or is it split?

I was flipping through various auctions and this one is located on Yahoo Japan Auctions, with a starting price of $20 Cdn equivalent.   No bidders.   Yahoo Japan Auctions are fairly strict since sellers are not allowed to mail their goods outside of Japan.

The corner of the note appears to be split.  Not sure, though and won't know as I will not be buying this note.

I am just wondering how many old Canadian notes are outside of Canada, that are orphaned.  Makes me wonder.    :'(
