Title: 1859 Bank of western Canada $4 note

I have it and is in great condition.
EJ Butler signature CASHIER
President  Richardson
number 3143
All in black but the word "FOUR" is in red

I was wondering what the value is, or do you know of an appraiser in the Durham Region.

Hi Judy!
    It really depends on the condition of the note and if your not a collector it would be difficult for you to give an accurate grade the best thing to do is post a picture so we could get a better idea of the grade. However here is a rundown of values for different grades Very Good = $125, Fine =$175, Very Fine = $275, Extra Fine = $450, Almost Uncirculated = $575 and Uncirculated = $700. I hope this helps.
