Title: 1917, 1923 $1 Canadian Bills

Would anyone know what a 1917 and a 1923 Canadian $1 bill are worth? Tried to attach a photo, but kept getting an error message. Thank you.

Without pictures or a description of each note, there's not enough information to answer your question.  They are worth something, but whether they are worth a little or a lot cannot be determined.

I followed the directions and it still doesn't work. I just get a message that says:" oops, something went wrong." Thank you for posting the directions anyway. It was very thoughtful of you.

These notes appear to have been heavily circulated and will therefore bring the value down, nevertheless they are still worth something...
the 1923 note looks like a hyndman-saunders (DC-25a) value $23
the 1917 is a "black seal only" variety, Hyndman-Saunders, suffix A, series H ( DC-23d) value is $35,
In low grade these notes are fairly common.

They look circulated but not as worn as the previous person suggests.  They look to be around Fine condition, and provided they are not torn or full of small holes, here are the values in Fine grade:
1923 $1 group 1 black seal Fine $90 (the top margin appears to have a paper foldover that can be straightened out)
1917 $1 Hyndman-Saunders seal only series H Fine $115 (provided the lower right corner tip is just folded over and not missing)

While 1917 and 1923 $1 notes are plentiful, these two notes are slightly scarcer varieties and hence should generate stronger interest than the more common varieties.
