Title: Payments?

Hi all! If I was to put a couple notes on the Trading Post for sale, what way is the safest to ask for payment? Also, I am not hooked up to Paypal. Thanks Bob.

I have accepted cash, money orders, EMT, and cheques(if I know the person I am dealing with)....I believe that EMT is the quickest and safest way....and happens quickly..
It costs the sender $1.50 so it is only about a buck more than a stamp...

Went to my bank on monday (TD-Can Trust) and enquired about being paid by EMT. They had no idea about the process. I was wondering if someone could explain in simple terms how it is done? Thanks.

If you have an access card and use TD Can Trust's Easyweb you can make payments by EMT
All you have to do is set up a recepient's name and email address with a question and password that the person you are sending the emt to can access it once they receive it.
The cost is $1.50 for you.
You can also say which account your funds get withdrawn from.
Just look at the left hand side of the screen once you get into Easyweb and you can see the various options available.
I believe it is under money transfers where you can set it all up.
Literally takes under 2 minutes to set it up and send it.
If you dont have access to EasyWeb then that is where the bank should be able to explain it to you or set it up.
Hope that explains things somewhat...if you still have problems let me know and I can bring up the actual screens and let you know the exact wordings/tabs you need to select.

Just checked it out

Goto the QUICKLINKS TAB on left hand side

Select the  "Make a transfer" TAB
What will appear is a dropdown box for Interac Email Money Transfer (EMT)

Here is where you can select 1 of 4 options

Send Money
Maintain Receipent List
View/Cancel Pending Transaction
View Completed Transactions

I would recommend that you get a PAYPAL account.
I have used PAYPAL for years and have receieved more than 1000 payments via PAYPAL.
It is safe and very reliable. The Paypal fees are very reasonable.
