I just aquired a 1954 $1000 Beattie-Coyne bill (A/K 0036654) that I would say is in VF-35 condition, and was wondering if it was worth anything more than face value?

Catalog value is $1,500.  The value depends on the market.  Your best selling price will be had on an online auction site where it will probably fetch $1,200-$1,400.
