how do I establish value for a 1925 (?) Bank of Nova Scotia $20 bill, not graded? No image yet

How do you establish it?  Throw it on eBay and watch the feeding frenzy.  This kind of note will be certain to generate a lot of bids.

Obviously that would be one way. What I would like to do is set a fair value (for dividing a gift) without necessarily selling the bill.

Your note has a current catalogue value of $350 in good (lower end) condition to $5,000 in uncirculated (higher end) condition.
