Hi Gang,
I'm a little down on my luck and I'm culling my hoard. I have the following 5 banknotes. I would like some assistance.
1991 'bird' $20
AWI 0304682 Serifed I - fp 98 bp 81
Knight-Theissen - rough
AWI 3342605 Serifed I - fp 90 bp 68
Knight-Theissen - rough
EWO 9474270,1 Sequenced
fp 16 bp 34 Knight-dodge AU i guess.
AWM 0140813 bp 60 fp 65
Knight Theissen - VF
What order should I spend these in?
I couldn't find anything about these online..
Hope you can help.. Need $.94/l gasoline for girlfriend's job interview.
Thanks,
johnjohn

wow.. i would have missed the 2M limited run of the AWM..
Thanks..

I would spend the AWI notes for sure as they are a full run of 10 million notes, except for the range 1000000-1100000 being inserts and as far as I can see these will never be worth more than face value.
Then I would spend the EWO if I had to, but I would try to not spend the AWM if at all possible.
As Jonathan would say "that's my two sawbucks worth"
Hope this helps, Gary_T

If I were you, johnjohn, I would keep the EWO note, since there are only two "O" prefixes in existence. Series letter "I" is pretty common now, so I would spend the AWI's if I were you.
As Jonathan would say "that's my two sawbucks worth"
Too bad Jonathan's no longer with us. I really miss his humourous posts.

I know the feeling. I remember when I was 14 having to use my 1937 $10 bill towards buying my father something for Fathers' Day. This was in the mid-1980s. I bought him cologne at Shopper's Drug Mart. The cashier of course didn't know how to authenticate this note, so she had to take it back to the pharmacist, an elderly gentleman who would have remembered the 1937 series.
A few years later I ended up having to liquidate the rest of my collection to pay for university. But over the past couple of years I have regained most of what I want.
Channaford, if it's any consolation for losing Jonathan, my mother is a Newfie (which may explain my offbeat sense of humour).

What I mean is, that Jonathan is no longer on the forum. Jonathan may still be out there somewhere.

LOL! Sorry, I've got to learn to be less vague as I've done that before - but by "consolation" I meant that when Jonathan said his last "Jonathan, out" that meant you and I were two of the few Newfies remaining on the forum.
God forbid something should happen to Jonathan, I miss his posts too!

My mistake... I thought you meant "condolences", but I was wrong!

Getting back on-topic... keep the AWM.

I agree... keep that AWM, the Knight-Thiessen AWM's are not easy to find. I paid $30 for one last yr in VF. They went up in price in the new charlton.
