Not sure if this question has been asked before. The first journey $100 was printed at BJW-9850000
but we have only seen BJY-0000001 onward. Is it possible to obtain a BJW journey note or did the bank of Canada hold on to them and never circulated them ?

Yes, the BJW Journey $100 started at 9850000 and the bank has not issued these notes publicly. These notes were produced for the lasting Journey Impressions which will also not be issued.

I thought I already answered this, but I must have overlooked it.
I asked the Bank of Canada about these BJW Journey $100s, and they said that there were 10,000 notes prepared for Lasting Impressions sets, however, this idea was killed. At least one note, BJW9850000, is retained as part of the NCC. No other notes are available to the public, period. The remainder of the 10,000 notes are of unknown fate. They may be stockpiled somewhere, and they may have been destroyed. Don't know.
