Hi,
On Global news tonight, there was a piece about the Crown attourney who confessed to money laundering. As an add on to the piece, the anchor woman mentioned that the Bank of Canada was seriously studying the possibility of releasing a $200 bill into circulation after discontinuing the $1000 notes. The idea was unfortunately shelved because, among other reasons, retailers were concerned about not having enough change to break a $200...A pretty weak excuse for not issuing a denomination I say! :D

I don't know how well it would work, but I would love to see them.
-
I second that! ;)
a $200 note would be VERY Slick!
-
Yes! A $200 note would be sweet.
They did have enough change to break a $1000 back then. ;) I guess the retailers are not making much money now to have cash in the tills to change a 200 dollar bill... :P

I would love to see a new denomination, anyone would would be interesting. I guess it would just add something to the hobby.
-
You guys can't be serious. A $200 note would be ridiculous. It would be as useful as a $2 coin.
-
the 2 dollar coin is pretty useful
-
Yea, Since now it takes $2 to get what we were able to get for only $1 before! :'( ;)
