Title: Cutting Cup; Does Anyone Really Care?

If you are not familiar with the cutting cup please read the following thread:

Does anyone really care if the Unc Journey notes within their collection have cutting cups?

I accept them as the norm, but would pay a premium for one without.

I think a lot of collectors see the condition of "cusped notes" as being the typical UNC but know there are a very few strictly UNC (65+) that they'd like to acquire if at all possible.  Probably another reason why there's such a stir about UNC right now.... :o

I find it does make a difference, as only4teeth has mentioned.
How I deal with it is like this:
If I have two notes exactly the same in UNC, except on has cutting cup, and one does not.
When trading/selling, they will be described as this: (nice and simple)
GEM UNC (with no cutting cup)
or UNC (b/c of cutting cup)

From the higher denom.s I have gone through, it is like 100:1 for cutting cups to notes without.
