It's fun

Can't imagine it would be too fun to be the proud new owner of one of those notes. But then again, anyone buying those notes may not miss $500,000 here and there.

The information I posted about 3rd party grading referring a US Seller was porscheahmet. Quite the operation he has.

Apparently on ebay there are bids over $200 for common Federal reserve notes you can get from the bank that get a 68 grade. So if you get a bundle from the bank and send those in that appear to be "the" perfect note and somehow they get a 68EPG rating, there are some who would pay over $200 for it even though the note may actually be worth only face in UNC. Some just strive to have the best note and are willing to pay up for it. Problem is, there is always likely a better note out there (for common notes at least).

Indeed. Everyone should have a look at that. It shows us where we are headed if we keep letting TPG take over the hobby.
What's so bad about this? You are involved in this hobby as much as everyone else so this should serve as insider information. Keep collecting your notes and if Canadian notes ever get to this point we will all be rich.
