Here is a picture of two BEY $10 insert notes from the same range. I have lined up the serial numbers on the left side. Notice how there is a shift of one full digit closer for the bottom note on the right side. The top note's serial number spacing is normal compared to my other BEY inserts and regular notes. Is variation in spacing like this normal? I thought both left and right sides were printed at the same time...

This is quite odd indeed. Kudos on the good eye for detail
My only explanation is perhaps the sheet would have been slightly warped at the time the SN was printed.

I wouldn't suggest that it is anything to get excited about.

Slight variation in printing should be expected. It is only paper, going through a manufacturing process that is not perfect.

If it was a Canadian Tire Corporation coupon collectors of those coupons would get very excited indeed! It doesn't do much for me personally but it is certainly an "error" note of sorts as it is a glaring example of poor quality control during the numbering process.
