Title: Closing threads for items no longer available.

I was wondering if would be possible for people who start threads with items for trade and/or sale to close them once the items are no longer available. I think it would make things a lot easier for people who are searching for things on the Trading Post. This would eliminate members from sending pm's or emails to a seller once it is gone.
Only a suggestion.  Anyone else out there think that this would be a good idea ???.

Also, it would give Brent something else to do instead of searching Ebay for the "HOLY GRAIL OF NOTES" 8)

I second that one.

Whoever starts a thread in the Trading Post should be able to close it. Helps with self administration.

What do you think Brent.... It is all about Mirco-Management!!!  8)

At least this "Holy Grail" error note appears to be real...reminds me of the note below that was sold on eBay about 2 years ago.  The buyer left +ve feedback for the seller saying he had purchased the "Holy Grail" of error notes.  At a cost of about $1,900 USD.  Then the seller faded away a few months later and is no longer registered on eBay  ::)

Agree. This is possible.

The person who made SMF used to be someone that worked for Invision Power Board. He took the IPB source code and modified it into SMF.

I used to have a small IPB forum but shut it down due to inactivity. It's possible on IPB for users to lock their own threads.
