I was just wondering, is there a time frame when FEV and/or FEW prefixes will be released or is the BT? prefix have to run out first?
Is there any rhyme or reason to what prefixes are printed and released by the BOC. ???
-
The FEx prefixes were printed by CBN and that company is no longer contracted by the BoC to print
Canadian paper money. All $10 bank notes are being printed by BAI now. All BAI $10 bank notes are
printed with the Bxx prefix.
Until a second printer is contracted to print Canadian $10 notes you will not see any more notes with FEx
prefixes.

Are all new banknotes, in all denominations, that are currently being printed only being printed by BAI. ???
And whatever is stockpiled, or previously printed by CBN still being released ???
-
Yes, there WAS a stockpile of CBN notes but about 4 - 5 months ago the BoC pushed them out as quick as possible. We saw a lot of $50 CBN Bricks come out in a wave and then they were gone in about 3 weeks.
At this point I am going to ASSUME that all CBN bricks have now been cleared and all that remains is BAI Printed notes.
Yes, BAI is the sole printer of Canadian Currency now.

What about the $100 bills printed in 2006 (EJJ, EJH) that are just beginning to appear? They are also printed by CBN.
