Found this in my local paper of a dufflebag full of Numimatica, just wondering if there are any Chartered bank or DoC notes in the bag too. Hey Huds check it out, this is in your neighbourhood you may have an ancestor that owned it. Otherwise, I could expect it to show up in the police Auction.

The $5 Confederate States of America bill illustrated in the article appears to be one of the several distinct types of souvenir "facsimiles" that are targeted at tourists in the Southern States. I'm 99.9999% certain that the illustrated bill is a fake as I've handed so many over the years (the colour and paper fabric give it away and I've seen bulk lots of these in various denominations) There's another well-known type printed on thick crispy paper that looks as if they've been scorched in a fire.

Good thing they are holding it for me..... ;) I might just swing by and have a chat with em! ;D
One thing for sure... The Idiot holding the $5 just Killed the note the way he is holding it. Take an UNC note over 140 Years old and lets crease it..... :o
