Item #230157585972 on ebay?
I assume this is a cut note from the BABN 5x8 Thiesen Crow Sheet
Asking $80 I hope people are aware of this

How do you tell genuine cutting errors from fakes? ???
Anyone who can operate a paper cutter can make them.

If you look on page 320 of the new cat you will see that Two Dollar Bank note sheets signed Thiessen-Crow prefix BBU were printed for sale in 40 note sheets.
Some people cut up these notes so they appear to be errors but are not true errors.
If you go through your cat you will see the other sheets that were printed for the public to purchase.
Denominations, signatures, prefixes

I just spoke to the seller and he said he bought it like that and he is unaware of what I told him. I expained about sheets and info in the cat, but interesting to see what he actually does about it ???

For what it's worth, this site has allowed me to look at error notes on %$#@ and smile and laugh.
Thanks for the help.

The seller replied to my suggestion that the item was overpriced: "dear member , if you dont like the price you dont have to by it, thank you " LOL.

Jeez, an unethical seller on eBay? I've never heard of such a thing! ::) LOL! This seller reminds me of a Three Stooges episode: "Antiques manufactured while you wait", i.e. waiting a day or two, not 100 years like you're supposed to... ;D

I forgot to add - another hint: the seller never claims it to be an error or miscut so can't be accused of a fraudulent listing.
