Another EBAY Seller trying to make a buck. He describes his item as:
Rare and unusual - 2 x 2 Canadian dollars uncut. Bank of Canada dated 1986 featuring Queen Elizabeth II on one side and robins on the other. Protected in myler sleeve. I haven't seen many of these in the uncut version.
It never seems to stop ;D

These were produced by the BOC for retail. Nothing fishy here.

were'nt they part of a sheet issue or not?

Yes the prefix EGT were sold as sheets as stated on page 320 of the 20th edition of the charlton catalogue.

According to the cat, Sheets of 1986 $2.00 notes signed Bonin Thiesen were issued by the BOC
Prefix EGT printed by CBN in 4x10 format
The sheet of 40 cat for AU $175 to Gem UNC $200
I have seen the sheets on ebay fairly often and do not appear to be hard to come by.
Sorry to be repetitive but I guess I was posting as Gary was too

There are some sellers who have only rare and unusual items in their inventory, if ya know what I mean
I think ONLY4TEETH has one too. The NEAT note :o

Check out Item number: 270162235314 on eBay right now.
It's a new type of cut out of register note with two different serial numbers. Must be some rare...the seller notes that they picked up a few of them at a flea market.
All for the low price of $9.99.
Sometime last year, I saw something like this on eBay and I actually contacted the high bidder (at the time) to let him know that the banknote was just one cut from a sheet. He was very grateful and really happy that he did not win the auction. Hate to see someone spend $$$ for something worth only $2.00.
BTW - would this note currently on eBay be even worth $2.00?

I would give you 2 bucks for it. Plus .58 cents for shipping and handling

You'd think these people would show a little creativity. Always the same old dramatic 50% cut of register examples. Sheesh.

Yes! They could at least show SOME imagination and try to copy this genuine cutting error:
