Hey: I have a 2000 ten dollar bill with the serial number fdv7109017. Is that of interest to collectors or is it just another ten. My wife collects coins, I prefer folding money but haven't really gotten anything I think is interesting yet. It's a pre securuity features note but does have nice leaves on it >:(

This note is known as a radar note, the serial number reads the same forwards and backwards. It would not be worth much unless it's in really good shape, some people try and get matching radar numbers as a set and it may be good for that aswell.

I think I was the second owner. It was bent as in a wad but not folded as in a crease, I have kept it flat and protected since, no chipped edges or wear only a little rippley center that only a collector would likely see "from being wad bent", it likely could iron out but I haven't touched it for any repair attempt.
Not in the sock drawer ::)

It could be worth between $20 - $25 if in AU (almost uncirculated) conditition. The good news is that I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem selling it (if high grade)...since there are insert replacements with the FDV prefix & collectors often like to form "sets" (* a replacement, radar, low number,etc) of certain prefixes. You'd probably be wise to hang onto it... (and perhaps work on a set yourself?)
