Anybody get anything really interesting in their stockings?
As usual.....mine was empty :'(
-
Unfortunately it is coal once again.
-
I can't even afford a stocking. :'(
I'm waiting for Boxing Day.
-
I was suppost to have a stocking? ???
Meaning I didn't get what I wanted but what I needed;
Thinking back with the help of my friends and my family, I reaped the joy of helping a single mother of four young boys weaned off the "legalized system of slavery called the welfare trap". She is now employed as a full time Nurse living in better accomodations with a better quality of life. The effort was well worth it.
And to top it off I got snow on Christmas day. We don't get snow often on Christmas day here on the west coast. That was the stocking stuffer for me.
Boxing day update: Grandma gave a new $50 bill to each of my kids, just regular numbers.

Glory to God in the Highest!

maybe next year ???

I lucked out. Santa gave me a 37 $1 with the HA prefix in EF. It was most appreciated!

Well, this was not in my stocking but I thought I'd share it with you all...
My son, scheduled to be in the hospital from Sept07-March08.We did not know if he'd ever walk again.Christmas Day,at his Mom's house, there's a knock on the door.We open it,and there is Mark,no crutches. He walked up 3 flights of stairs to to the door unaided. His friend had received permission to bring him home.It proved to be almost too much for him,but HE DID IT!!!! He was determined not to be in that hospital on Christmas Day,to have his Mother and Father heartbroken.
Man o man folks,I can not tell you the joy that brought us.BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!!

Robert, That's fantastic! Can't imagine a better Christmas present for you and your family. All the radar notes in the world couldn't possibly compare!
Oh, and I really like the '37 radar too ;) Hard to find in such nice condition.
-
Thank you Al-Bob,
It was the greatest present and feeling I've ever had.
As many here, with personal trials know, faith is sometimes hard to keep in the face of severe adversity.
As for the radars,I have 48 solid radars, had anyone said"give em all up,your son will walk Christmas Day"I'd have delivered them with the deed to my house! All the radars and everything else pales in comparison!
He is back in the hospital till march fo rehab, but today sure looks better than yesterday!
Miracles do happen.
