just a recent error 5$ dollar note list on ebay AOZ/BPZ , i think all error notes are issued cause to or due to something unusual happened in process of printing,
human or mechanical failure, something un intentional happens , i think some of the
error notes even rarer than rare note .Each one of the error notes very unique by its
self ,it because they were not done intentionally .remember this is never happen yet
in canadian error notes.only a handful of 1986 2$ bird series .and only 1 prefix letter
mismatch ,you have to remember that they were "ERROR" notes. The Treasury didn't design them like that.

I believe it has happened with other Journey $5 notes. I recall some APE/APF mismatches.
Tommy you don't have a brick of these too do you? ::)

Craig,
Please do not kidding around and send out false information. I don't believe there are 1000 notes with errors on AOZ or BPZ series. Perhaps someone like Nova7415 or BWJM can elaborate this a little more.
The Journey $5 sold at $403 CAN with 1 mismatch. My note, A0Z1086060 / BPZ0086060 has 4 errors on it and I would expect much higher than Journey $5. Now I know the value. How rare it is to have 4 errors on the note? If you don't believe me, then type in the word mismatch in Ebay. You will see at least 5-6 listing on US dollars with mismatches. I will think it over if I want to list it on Ebay. I'm open for your best offer, please send me an email
Bad rumors on this Forum will lead you to nowhere. Only a true Collector knows how priceless it is when it comes to errors on notes.
Thank you for your time.

Wasn't this note or a similar note already placed on ebay - but didn't meet the reserve?
Also, what are the 4 errors.... I see only 3 in the prefix and serial number. Did I miss something?

There is only one error. If BoC notes are anything like US currency, the serial number printing heads are manually set for the prefix and the left 2 or 3 numbers. These are fixed and do not step with each impression. AO_0 and BP_1 are rotated by 1 position. Presumably they were misset at setup and affected only one location on the 40-subject sheet. If inspectors had noted the error on any sheet, I would expect the entire 1000 note brick would have been marked for removal. Since some errors have been found, it would seem the entire brick was released for circulation.

My comments in THIS POST (click here) (http://www.cdnpapermoney.com/forum/index.php?topic=6739.msg33578#msg33578) should answer several questions.

Yes. Item 160198639210 Reserve not met with a highest bid of $US 541.60.
Did I miss something?
Not likely.
Now I know the value.
I guess that would be somewhere between $5 and $541.60.

...or at least someone with access to eBay.
