Title: 1979 $5 Lawson Bouey serial # 30260000457 UNC
Post by: friedsquid on April 22, 2008, 09:32:52 pm
Just wondering if anyone can give me a price on this note.  In unc condition, but someone wrote the number 77 in ink on the front of the note.   I assume that this would be considered a low number note 457?
Thanks

This bill i would say is probably $30 since there is the number 77 on the bill it is probably worth $25

Sorry my last post didn't make sense so.

The Charlton Standard Catalogue says this bill in Unc condition would be worth $200.00 but since there is the number 77 on it i would say it is probably worth around $175, or a little more

On page 363 of the 20th edition of the Charlton catalogue the value for a low number #100- #999 1979 $5 note is listed at $200 in Unc.
I'm not sure how much this would be worth with but if you had other notes with the number 457 it would not make that much difference because you would be looking at the matching numbers.
