Title: Question about the $2 Bird notes with prefix BBG
Post by: friedsquid on May 11, 2008, 08:34:47 pm
I have a $2.00 Bird note with the prefix BBG.
When you look at both serial numbers and the prefix on each side they are the same.
Large B and Small B.
Is this common for this particular prefix?
SQUID

Yes, that is entirely common.

I refer you to the bottom of p318 of the Charlton guide... All notes numbered BBA-BBN have an initial "large B" in both serial numbers, and all notes numbered BBR-BBZ have an initial "small B" in both serial numbers. BBP is split down the middle at approximately 3.5M, give or take a bit.
