Why are there no asterisk $50 or $100 notes?

I believe that it is due to the low demand for these denominations. Keeping track of separate piles of paper money was tedious and time-consuming, thus, since they really didn't need to quickly insert replacements (they would just get identical replacements from CBN) they just didn't bother issuing replacements.
