Title: 1979 $20 Bill
Post by: canadamoney on July 09, 2008, 12:18:26 am
I have a 1979 $20 Canadian Bill and was wondering what it's worth.
A young Queen Elizabeth is on the front and there is a scenic picture on the back of mountains and a lake.
It is pinkish and greenish in color on the front and just greenish on the back.
Thanks.

Well, one signature of the deputy governor has a long last name starting with Bhi ... something like that and the other signature of the governor is JW Crow, I believe.
The serial number is 56678922830 (this serial number is written on the bill twice)
The bill is a little crumpled and has fold lines but not torn or anything.

It's a spender.

Yes, I agree... it's a spender.   Your note's signature is signed "(Gordon) Thiessen" and "(John) Crow".  Not much over face value because of the condition.
