I have a Canadian $2 bill from 1954 with the prefix C\B before the serial number, is this worth anything?
Thanks.

This note is a better one to have. It is a devil's face note signed by Coyne/ Towers and could be worth quite a lot depending on the condition. $25 in vg. and $525. in GUnc.
Please give a description of the condition or post a picture if you can.

The condition is pretty good, there are a few folds in the middle and 2 of the corners have a little bend in them.
Does the serial number matter at all or just the prefix?
Thanks.
-
It depends. If the serial number reads the same from back to front (eg. 0208020) it is referred to as a "radar" note, referring to how the radio waves are sent out of whatever is giving out these radio waves, and they echo back when the waves hit an object. There are also "repeater" notes, which repeat the serial number (eg. 6012601).
EDIT: Your note seems to be in Very Fine condition, worth $65. A photo would be appreciated.

Thanks, I will upload a picture a little later. I have to scan one and this computer does not have a scanner. The serial number is 2618816, does that alter the value at all?
-
Nope. That's just a normal serial number. You should hang on to that note "Devil's Head" notes are very popular and the value just keeps going up. ;D
-
Why is it called a "devil's face or devil's head"?
-
If you look behind the queens ear you can see the face of the devil. A few years after the Bank Of Canada realized the "Devils Head" was in the picture they modified the queens hair so you could not see the devil.
You Can see The "Devils Face" and the modified note at this link.

"If you compare your $10 devil's face note with the others and look behind the queen's ear you'll see more white highlights and in there is the devils nose, moustache beard and so on."
This was a reply to a similar note. Do you have other notes to compare this one with?
-
Ok thanks guys.
I don't have another note, just this one.
I will try to upload a picture later today.

What would be the best way to sell this bill?
-
You could try making a post in the Trading Post section, or you could sell it on eBay.
-
Ok thanks!
here are the images that I forgot to upload before, any idea what condition this would be considered?

As you can see from the top picture the right side isnt really cut off, it just looks like that from when I scanned it.

You should try to sell it in the trading post like platyfish124 said.

Looks to be Fine condition to me. Charlton says $35.
