Title: modified 2 dollar beattie coyne
Post by: kootenai kollector on January 11, 2009, 12:07:52 am
Hi there  im looking for info on the value of offset bills if any.  The bill in question has been offered to me but i do not posess yet so i have no photo to show.  The bill is a 1954 2 dollar  beattie coyne modified. Catalogue # is bc-38a. Condition is vf-ef.  The margin of the bill on the right side is only 1/4 as wide as the left side. Would this be considered a misprint?  If so what would the approximate value be? and where could i find more info on these types of bills to do further reasearch.   Thanks for your help.      P.S.  great site very informative

Hello
Welome to the forum....Your note in my opinion is a bit of a misprint. However, its not enough to command any premium over catalog value, unless it would show some of the adjoining note.  For more information, purchase a Charlton Standard Catalogue of Government Money, 21st edition.  It may also be available to view at you local library.  Good luck, Murray.
