I am thinking of purchasing this note. I do not have a pic but the condition is wrinkled but no rips tears or holes. Looking for a price range for this to help me decide an offer to make. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rick

Is it a $5 or a $10? Neither is a great rarity, but Merchants Bank values seem to be trending upward generally.
Catalogue values:
$5 $10
Good 225. 250.
VG 450. 500.
Fine 675. 750.
I would suggest not going over book for a very low grade note and definitely not for one with problems (such as erasure marks, washed, pressed senseless or trimmed edges) but you could, I think, safely go full cat. or a little over for a nice, well centred fine. Both the $5 and $10 are attractive notes.

Thanks for the info. I took a pass on the note it was folded many times. The gent told me he turned down $400.00 and my offer would have been less than that.
This is a very informative site and will help me make good informed choices about my future purchases.
Thanks again

Sorry I forgot my manners. Perhaps someone else might be interested in this bill or at least like to see it. It can be found here: [edit]moderators note: external links to private auctions and sales is not permitted by the CPMF code of conduct. Eyevet[/edit]
