The 1954 $1,000 Specimen note is worth around $6,000. Its a really nice note. Very few were issued. How did you get hold of one of these???
As for the other note, i can't help you with that, i'll leave that one for someone else to answer.
Hope this helps.

It is possible one or more could be outside of Canada. These are indeed rare. They had only became available for sale as of november 1999 and only 7 of these 1,000$ D.F. Specimens were sold.

I don't want to take away from the thread but i was curious about theses notes.
I understand that a total of 7 were sold back in 1999 with a book value of 6K my question is
When where theses notes printed? in the 90's? or back in 54?
I have a feeling this might be a stupid?!?! ???
Thats a really good question. I believe they were both printed and issued sometime in the mid-50's when the devils face series was active. But from what i understand is that they were held onto by the bank of canada until 1999 when they decided to auction off all devils face specimen notes. It is written in charlton that it is unlikely that any specimen notes escaped from the bank of canada before the auction in 1999.
