Title: A quick question
Post by: DrFever on July 01, 2009, 05:43:16 pm
Where are the face plate numbers located on the 1954 series of banknotes?  I have just inherited my grandfathers banknotes, not a lot, but I want to start cataloguing them.  Thank you kindly.

Hi DrFever,

Please see this thread:

The back plate numbers are located just inside the edge of the vignette area, but in different places for each denomination. The face plate numbers are always in the same location.

Just an idea...
Would anyone think a subject regarding location of front and back position numbers could be on the FAQ section on each series be appropriate?  ???

Yes I think it would be a great idea to have this subject in the FAQ section,  maybe someone could add some images to help show where they are?
