Hola!
I say "Hola", because i'm south of the border in the U.S. Quick question: Did Canada have the equivalent of the U.S. Gold Certificate Note? A specially marked note good for redemption into gold?
Just curious and trying to raise my post count so I can put up a "want to buy" ad.

All Dominion notes were redeemable in gold at Assistant Receiver Generals' offices, until the beginning of World War I when the gold standard was suspended. Chartered bank notes were similarly exchangeable for gold or Dominion notes at branches of the issuing bank.
