Title: Fake Short Snorter
Post by: Bruxi on October 03, 2012, 08:53:07 pm
Anyone seen fakes of these?  I've see some lately on ebay that give me that weird feeling.  Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but they get a decent premium and would be easy to fake and I wouldn't put it past some sellers to make a buck this way.

What is considered a genuine short snorter?  How would one go about authenticating these notes?

Yes - tough to authenticate (like an autograph).  Just wondering if anyone had ever heard of this happening like it happened in the sports memorabilia market.  When I see "Guam 1945" on a US Hawaii note, but it looks like it was written in fresh felt pen, my spidey senses go off.
