Title: Question for rarenote
Post by: CCCS on January 07, 2004, 11:40:26 pm
AUG 8922714 Thiessen/Crow rarenote

rarenote did you bought that note from Andy McKaig?

My question is important to determine if this is a unique note or not.

AUG 8922714 is the single known note with Thiessen-Crow signatures in that prefix.  This is based on Lub Wojtiw's records in CPMS.  The note was found around 1989 in Toronto.

No this note did not go through Andy although he did have it in his posession at one time.

Yes this note did go through Torex before it was a known rarety.

The reason I ask is because I discover a T-C AUG note in VG many years ago and sold it to Andy at Nuphilex. I do not have the serial number of it as I didn't know better at the time. If it is the same one that Andy sold than the unique status is not change. Had I know how unique it was, Andy would not have been able to buy it, it would still be in my hand. But I am happy a serious Canadian Paper money collector have it.
