Title: Is this number on $20 journey note from a teller's stamp?
Post by: Rupiah on June 04, 2013, 11:10:17 pm
In the following image there is a number printed on the front of the $20 note. I was thinking it is from some type of a teller's stamp. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what/how this may have come about?

Thank you

It looks like a partial teller's date stamp to me.

I have seen tellers stamp deposit slips right on top of piles of money, then band up the cash and put it into their drawer.  That's probably why it reads "210..."
