Title: What denomination will the 150th anniversary commemorative note be?

I guessed $5, based on the fact that the last time this happened (1967) it was the lowest denomination note as well ($1).

I think they should do it with the $10 bill since it already shows the first prime minister who was there in 1867.

A commemorative $1 note would be about as successful as the RCM's commemorative 50¢ coin in 2002. They went right from Tim Hortons into sock drawers. Most Canadians didn't even know they existed.

It would need to be a $5 or other currently circulating denomination for it to circulate. Otherwise it'll just be a souvenir.
