Title: Bank of Japan Newest Currencies

The following scans show the new issue (released November) 2004 Bank of Japan paper money currency notes.    

New 1,000 yen bank note

New 5,000 yen bank note.

New 10,000 yen bank note.

New Issue 1,000 yen (equivalent to about $12 Canadian).  

Features the portrait of Hideyo Noguchi.  

Size is 76 x 150 mm.

New Issue 5,000 yen (equivalent to about $61 Canadian).  

Features the portrait of Ichiyo Higuchi - first ever female to be on Japanese currency.  

Size is 76 x 156 mm.
