Title: 1954 $1 Mismatched Serial
Post by: Wiztom on March 23, 2017, 08:58:51 am
My dad sent me this picture of a bill he has had for over 50 years.  Searching online did not yield much information as to the value.  What do you guys think?

The mismatched serial number error (BC-37b-E15-i) catalogues at $450 in Uncirculated condition.

Based on the image you have posted the note would grade VF and be catalogue valued at 40% of the uncirculated value or $180.

With that said, it could sell for more or less depending on the venue and demand for the note at the time of sale.

So this page seems to depict what you said.  However, I see no designation for the age or rarity of the bill.

I am offered $150 USD, given that I have no other avenues to explore regarding the pricing I am considering taking this.
