Title: Previously Unrecorded Notes for the CPMS "Note Registry"
Post by: Ottawa on September 01, 2017, 01:57:19 pm
I was wondering whether it might be a good idea to introduce a new section in the Forum specifically  aimed at reporting newly discovered notes that are not listed in the latest edition of the CPMS NOTE REGISTRY (Third Edition 2016).

With this in mind I am herewith reporting three (3) such "new" notes together with the always-important photographic confirmation:

1. Bank of British North America $5 1911 # 0670795/A (graded PMG VF 35).

2. Bank of Ottawa $5 Sept. 1913 # 156268/D.

3. Dominion of Canada $1 1897 # 016734/A.

The last two notes were illustrated in the February 1977 issue of "Coins and Medals" magazine (Volume 4, Number 2) published in the U.K.

I have always greatly enjoyed perusing old numismatic magazines and journals as they always yield interesting and useful snippets of information.

What about using the Charlton Updates and Registry Finds (http://www.cdnpapermoney.com/forum/index.php?board=21.0) forum?

I've moved this thread there.

Many thanks, Brent. I didn't realize that there was already a dedicated section for Registry Finds.

Thank you for posting these registry finds.  The Bank of BNA appeared on eBay in May 2106 and was recorded at that time.  The other two were new and have been added this morning.
