Title: Are Low Serials 10 and 11 Really Considered Binary Notes?
Post by: wagnert89 on June 11, 2019, 08:37:50 pm
Just out of curiosity, are serials 0000010 and 0000011 really considered binary notes?  I have seen other notes with these serial numbers but I have never seen the TPG holder refer to them as binary notes?

Yes they are binary notes
TPG notes including those
By BCS sometimes neglect to
Add certain descriptions on their holder
This is seen in replacements repeaters
Low serial numbers etc
The good thing is that most will
Reslab the notes with the proper
Description for free
I do know that when BCS
Started they frequently if not
Always did not enter the entire cat
Number on the slab or replacement
Ranges
Btw nice notes

Thanks for the info and applause.  I was actually a bit disappointed with the choice 64 since there were no demiret points, good centering, no soft corners and no edge cutting fibers, which would normally suggest a GemUnc grade.  I guess the one corner is not perfectly square and slightly tapered cut which did it.  I am sure some other TPG company would give it a Gem 68  ;)
