Title: Solid 9s Double Printed serial number

What looks odd to me is the right serial number, the middle nine looks to be lower then the rest.
I don’t know if it’s mechanically possible but what makes you suspicious of it being authentic?

If it was the same number printed twice or a consecutive number then it might make more sense. Even a random number but what are the chances of solid 9s showing up??

Also, the serial number is printed twice but not the prefix. Are these printed in two separate steps?? Alignment isn't quite right either as pointed out by Hounddog. Just looks very fishy.

Although if you are trying to sell fake errors probably better to start them at $1 and let the bidders go wild. Perhaps the seller actually thinks it's real. Or just being greedy.

Have any (authentic) serial number errors occurred on Polymer notes that we know of?

-biggest "red flag" for me since the prefix should have also printed & the fonts on bogus notes/manufactured errors are wrong (plus SN should either be same, near or random- which is all I've ever seen of the few Journey SN errors).

My wife's account manager at her bank sent her a photo of this note that he found:

Serial number looks nearly identical to the eBay note. My best guest is AMA 1697356 meaning it would have come from the same sheet as the other note. And it was found in circulation. Maybe there is more to this than we thought?
