Title: 1988, $100.00, Thiessen-Crow
Post by: slackjack on August 10, 2021, 12:18:09 am
Here is a dilemma,
On another site somebody came out with this bill,
1988, Thiessen-Crow BJI 8632579,
questions: is this possible for a new changeover,
can this bill be a fake,
why there is no mention in GPM,
anybody as infos about this one,
 thanks

I would be highly skeptical of this being a legitimate note.  See if you can ask the person posting it to take a photo of the note with light shining through so that you can see the signatures and serial number in a single image.  I'm attaching an example of what I mean.

I suspect that the person is trying to pull a fast one and is showing images of two separate notes.  It's not a new concept... the Royal Canadian Mint, in their 2021 $2 coin and banknote set (https://www.mint.ca/store/coins/1-oz.-pure-silver-coin-and-bank-note-set---mintage-7500-2021-prod3770015), initially showed images of Crow/Bouey $2 notes yet the notes received are Bonin/Thiessen BRX.  The listing has since been corrected but I had a good laugh when I first saw it.

Bottom line: something's fishy. Proceed with caution.

at the same time, a large Thanks to all the members on here,
