In 1994, the association issued its first series of commercial notes. A total of 126 sets of 3 tickets, 50¢, $1 and $2 went on sale at the annual exhibition.
About 80 sets were sold on the first day and a $5 bill was added thereafter.
The banknotes measure 3" by 6" and were laser-printed on antique steel blue Bond paper. The theme focused on means of transport from different eras.
The banknotes have the particularity of having a small metallic area on the front. The 50¢ bill has a small metallic blue circle showing the number 50, the $1 bill, a metallic red rectangle with the number 1, while the $2 and $5 bills have a gold metal square.
For the $5 bill, the denomination in the lower left and right corners is also metallic gold, while the ship on the back is entirely metallic silver.
Each banknote has a serial number. From "1994 JFL 001" to "1994 JFL 126" for the 50¢. The initials change to the other denominations, namely "NBL" for the $1, "JNL" for the $2 and "ANP" for the $5.
Each of the directors of the Board of Directors received a sheet of three identical uncut notes for each of the denominations. Note, however, that the ship on the back of the $5 was not metallized. The word "SPECIMEN 000" replaced the serial number.
All tickets were signed by hand by the President, Mr. Albert Lapalme, and the Treasurer, Mr. Jean Lafontaine.
