Title: EHX Question: $50 bills
Post by: Channaford on August 11, 2005, 12:09:39 am
Just want to ask you a question regarding the EHX prefix...  Were some of the earlier EHX $50 serial numbers repeated on both the 1975 Multicoloured and the 1988 Birds series, like say, EHX's in the 1,000,000 range?  If so, why?  And also if so, then why wasn't it the same scenario for the AJX 1975 and 1988 $100's?

No serial numbers were repeated but the ranges used intertwine. per Charton's:

BC-51aA-i (1975 L/B) 0000001-0372226
BC-51bA   (1975 C/B) 0420000-0859999
BC-59aA   (1988 T/C) 0881403-1645361(eyevet)
BC-51bA   (1975 C/B) 1700000-2159999
BC-59aA   (1988 T/C) 2208332-4119999

As to why, don't know ???
