Title: 1979 $20 replacement sign

I can't found it in my books, but what is the sign for replacement notes from this series?

In the 1979 $20 notes, either 510 or 516 start the serial number.

No, 561..... is a regular issued note with Crow-Bouey. Here is how it works for the 1979 notes
The first number is the denominational number: 3 or 5.  the second is the printer: 0,2,6 for regular or 10,16 for replacement and 30 is test) and the next two are the series number. Finally the last 7 numbers is your regular standard serial number. So if you think about it, the first 4 numbers are like your two or three letter prefixes.

Lawson-Bouey 3300 -Test (scarce)
Crow-Bouey 3046-3058 -Regular
Crow-Bouey 3100 -Replacement

Lawson-Bouey 5000-5067 -Regular
Lawson-Bouey 5100 -Replacement (scarce)
Crow-Bouey 5067-5099 -Regular
Crow-Bouey 5200-5205 -Regular
Crow-Bouey 5600-5649 -Regular
Crow-Bouey 5100 -Replacement
Crow-Bouey 5160 -Replacement
Thiessen-Crow 5205-5266 -Regular
Thiessen-Crow 5649-5695 -Regular
Thiessen-Crow 5100 -Replacement

Im glad i can help. This is all in the charlton guide. But i also know this from experience as this was the 20-series in issue when i first started collecting. I had always noticed that it was always 50, 52 and 56 always comming outta the machine. It was very hard to find any 510 or 516 notes particularly the crow-bouey and the Lawson-Bouey were especially hard to find. I guess thats why the prices of those such notes in UNC have increased considerably over the past few years.  ;)
