Title: AOK Insert

Gilles Pomerleau has been tracking reports of AOK inserts across Canada and has come up with a
"suspected range".  To date the AOK inserts have been reported in AOJ, AOL and AOM bricks.
The suspected range is quite large:

AOK     1.890M - 2.115M      225K


He suspects that the large number of inserts being found is due to printing problems related to the new
paper being supplied by Domtar.  As BABN works out the quirks in later prefixes the number of inserts
found will probably drop considerably.  Unlike CBN, BABN has a reputation for high quality control and
the number of BABN inserts found is usually a fraction of that found in CBN banknotes.

What about the first two posts in the AOK H/L thread?    Did Seth get 27 inserts?

It appears that Seth did indeed luck out and get 27 inserts.  This makes sense since he says he got them with a run of AOL.

AOK2013969 was found replacing AOL3253181 so I suspect that the AOLs that Seth got were below 3.2M.

Hopefully he held onto those AOK inserts and didn't spend them  :-X

I found a AOK2011876 replacing AOL2451261, was a run of 40 bills....

An update from Gilles on the AOK insert "suspected range".  After taking into account numerous reports of AOK insert
finds from brick searchers across Canada, he now suspects two ranges of AOK inserts:


AOK     1.890M - 1.935M        45K
AOK     1.980M - 2.115M      135K


This suspicion is based on the fact that no AOK inserts have yet to be reported in between these two ranges.  These two ranges
could still end up being one large combined range as additional insert reports come in over time.

FOUND INSERT AOK 1987137 IN AOK 9847545.  THIS JUST GIVES MORE CONFIRMATION ON INSERT RANGE.

PLEASE BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR INSERT AOK 2005521 OR 2005215.  THIS IS THE NUMBER THAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR.  HECK THIS IS THE REASON I BEGAN BANKNOTE HUNTING.  

I CAN FEEL IT COMING VERY SOON.  NEED EVERYONES HELP FOR THIS ONE.  SORRY FOR THE CAPITALS.  DARN KEY IS STUCK.

There may be a new AOK insert range (2.867M) or the existing AOK insert range is HUGE !!

On Thursday I found 30 x AOK inserts (AOK2867111 - AOK2867140) in an AOM 9.937M brick.

This finding will be reported to Gilles today.

Gilles has had other reports from across Canada with respect to AOK inserts in the 2.86xM range.  There have not been enough
reports yet to determine the size of this range.

I searched the second brick of AOM 9.93xM notes yesterday and it turned out to be the brick adjacent to the previous one I
searched.  This brick was AOM9936000 - 9936999.  I found an additional 30 inserts replacing the exact same notes as in the
original brick.  Inserts are AOK2866111 - 140.

Notes that were replaced

        9936819, 26, 43, 45, 61, 71, 73, 99
        9936723, 46, 47, 59, 80, 89, 93, 97

AOK1979826  insert found in AOM   It replaced 6179999

Also found  in AOM  a replacement for AOM 6178999 , AOK 1978826

I had also found a few AOK 1.96 inserted between some AOK 2.12 in a Brick of AOP If I remember correctly. They were replacing damaged Insert Notes. When I notified Gilles he said that he would adjust the range accordingly (Thus the change in the range we recently saw).

Yes, Actually the middle AOK range has been extended to include these notes as well. There have been several other finds in the 2.22 and 2.23 Ranges.

Picked up 2 bricks AOS0213000 fp93 bp98  and AOS0212000fp94 bp60 today.

Found AOK2212303 fp94 bp60 replacing AOS0212549

Also AOK2213303 fp93 bp98 replacing AOS0213549

I also went to another bank today to take out $1000.00 in $5.00's

She gave me half circulated and half new.

Yes, I had 2200303  ;D

All our bricks are from the same ream so there is a single sheet of notes.

I had some AOS 0257000 and it was a different ream.  :)
