That does not look EF-AU... :-/

well to start that isnt even close to au or ef I would think its a VF note without seeing it... still $450 isnt bad I would email him and say I think the note is on vf would you take 400$ try and save a little more money but at $450 still a good price.

Looks like it might have been a swan or some other origami. VF at best.

good one...
im not an expert like you guys thats why im asking your opinion.
so at vf I would probably be at fair market value?

According to the Charlton grading standards, this should be a Fine + as far as I can tell.
The wear on the center crease alone shows broken paper fibres andsignificant wear, despite some partsof the bill looking not as bad.
If I was to list this, I would say "Fine" due to hard crease down center, regardless what the rest of the note looked like. (of course if the rest of the note was MINT, then that would need special mention)

thanks Hudson
so this might not be a deal at all.... :-/

Oh for an error like this, as rare as it is, I think that $450 might be okay....
I don't specialize in errors, but if I were you, I wouldn't feel bad about that price :)

Yea I still think you should go back to the buyer and say its not EF-AU and ask him for $50 off and you will be getting a great price.

Catalog on that note would be 40% (for VF grade) of $900 (catalog in UNC), so $360. So you can reasonably ask for $90 back.

thanks all for your omment

Did you ever end up getting the note?
