Title: 1 dollar Dominion of Canada Ottawa, March 31, 1898 Series P
Post by: jrcullen on May 05, 2007, 09:43:56 pm
Is a $1.00 Dominion of Canada, Ottawa, March 31, 1898, Series P worth any more than face value? Not sure of the who two portraits are on the front.
Thanks!

The value of the note will be dependant on its condition.  It is definately worth more than face value.

Can you post an image of the note for us to review ?

BTW...The portraits are of the Countess and Earl of Aberdeen.

John,

I took the PDF image of the note you emailed me and converted it to a JPEG that I have uploaded
to the forum for viewing.

Based on the image you sent me, I would probably grade this note Very Good (VG).

Current catalogue value for this note is CDN $145 in VG and CDN $70 in Good (G).

...Arthur
